The story behind this print
Jebsheet
Some villages are remembered not only for their landscapes, but for the voices that rose from them.
Jebsheet is one of those villages.
Rooted in the hills of South Lebanon, among olive groves and generations of families deeply connected to their land, Jebsheet holds a significant place in the region's collective memory.
It is the hometown of Sheikh Ragheb Harb, whose words and convictions became closely associated with resistance to Israeli occupation.
His famous declaration, «المصافحة اعتراف», meaning a handshake is recognition, remains part of that history.
In creating this print, we wanted to honor both the village and the strength of character for which it is remembered.
The warm earth tones, rooted imagery, and confident Arabic calligraphy reflect a place whose identity reaches far beyond its borders.
A tribute to Jebsheet, its people, its land, and the history they carry.
