The story behind this print
Al Dahieh
Close your eyes and imagine a place where every street carries memory, every gathering holds meaning, and every soul knows how to stand back up. This is Al Dahieh, a heartbeat of resilience shaped by faith, family, sacrifice, and unshaken pride. From the spirit of Haret Hreik to the powerful processions of Ashura, Dahieh has always been more than a place. It is a people who know how to rebuild, remember, and remain united through every season. The hawk above its skies became the symbol of this piece, representing vision, courage, and the strength to rise again. This artwork captures the feeling of Dahieh, not only in what it looks like, but also in what it means. Original photo credit goes to the talented Mahdi Skafi, taken during the Ashura procession.
