The Story It Carries
Sett El Kell was inspired by the women who hold everyone together without saying a word. The phrase honors the mother or grandmother whose love becomes the center of the family, steady and unforgettable.
This artwork captures a tender moment on Abou Deeb Street in Sour, Lebanon. A tata walks beside her granddaughter, hand in hand, as sunlight falls across the familiar road. In that small embrace, time folds gently. It is as if she has her own daughter beside her once more, walking the same streets again.
The blue tones echo the Mediterranean nearby. The greenery, neighborhood buildings, and open sky carry the feeling of everyday life in Tyre, where memory lives in streets, balconies, and morning light. The child leaning close says what words cannot: love travels through generations.
